Local Resources and Representation

  • Montgomery County 311: MC311 Customer Service Center is Montgomery County’s source for nonemergency government information and services. You can reach MC311 by calling 311 in the County or 240-777-0311, 711 for MD Relay TTY, from anywhere, Monday - Friday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. You can see a list of all the services provided through calling 311 here.

  • Sate Highway Administration: Request intersection studies, and help with potholes, dead animals, traffic signs, signals, litter and other non-emergency issues on state roads (Connecticut & University). Submit a query via form.

  • Montgomery County Parks and Recreation: For general questions or concerns about parks and park facilities, you can submit your question or concern online or call 301-495-2595.

  • Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board (MCCAB): A 15-member Board that serves as Montgomery County's bridge to the 220,000 residents and businesses spread throughout the 99 square miles of the Mid-County area of Montgomery County. The Board provides advice and recommendations to the County Executive on policy and budget issues, planning and goal setting procedures, and legislative matters; educates the community on governmental structures and services; and acts as a facilitator to foster solutions to community problems, needs, and issues. Contact the Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board for assistance or attend a monthly meeting.

  • Mid-County Regional Services: The local government office for the Mid-County Region of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Mid-County Regional Services functions are to: strengthen communication and connect local community to various agencies of county government; identify regional priorities and future service needs; recommend programs and policies tailored to the local community; and oversee County services, including downtown Wheaton and the Wheaton Clean and Safe Team. Contact the Mid-County Regional Services team here.

  • Montgomery County Council: The legislative branch of County Government. The Montgomery County Council has eleven members, all elected at the same time by the voters of Montgomery County for four-year terms. Our neighborhood is in District 6, represented by Natali Fani-Gonzales. Fani-Gonzales currently serves as the County Council President.

  • Montgomery County Board of Education: The Montgomery County Board of Education provides leadership and oversight for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) by setting goals, establishing policies, and committing resources to benefit our diverse student population. Our neighborhood is in District 4, represented by Laura Stewart until 2028.

  • Maryland General Assembly: Our neighborhood is part of Maryland's legislative District 18. District 18 is represented for the 2023–2027 legislative term in the State Senate by Jeff Waldstreicher (D) and in the House of Delegates by Aaron Kaufman (D), Emily K. Shetty (D) and Jared Solomon (D).

Graffiti

  • To request removal of graffiti, you’ll need to submit a request with the relevant agency. Not sure who the road is maintained by? Check here.

  • County roads and property (most residential streets): To report vandalism, graffiti or other defacing of property to the Montgomery County Police, please call the non-emergency police number at 301-279-8000.

  • State Roads (Connecticut and University): Submit an online service request here. If you submit one, feel free to e-mail us with the Request Number so we can help keep track of what has been submitted.

  • MNCPPC roads (Beach Drive) and parks: Call to report 301-670-8080.

  • Railroad-adjacent properties (tunnel on Beach Drive): These are property of CSX which has not been responsive to resident requests to clean it up. The best luck we have had is individuals contacting county council.
