Neighbors, I just received the final designs for our new playground and I am SO excited!!

The structures were redesigned to include a lot more upper body equipment for kids, taking our suggestions into consideration. They also added a jeep for imaginative play. There will be an expression swing, which seems SUPER cool, in addition to another bucket swing, accessible swing, and two regular swings.

Benches will be the last thing to go in the playground and will be placed away from the hill so that we can still sled!

If we include a path around the playground, the area would exceed 5,000 square feet and would require getting permits, which would delay the construction by 6 months at the very least, and it usually takes much longer. I personally would rather have the playground installed this year and not be delayed any more. I think we could always have a path added later on.

Please take a look! The county is aiming to have the new playground built by this winter. I’ll let you all know when a timeline is finalized. If you have any major objections to any of this equipment, please send me a message. Otherwise, I’m hoping to share our approval this week so they can begin planning the construction!
