As we near Earth Day, we are keeping with tradition and neighborhood pride and hosting our Annual Neighborhood Clean-Up on Saturday, April 11, from 9 am-12 pm (rain date Sunday, 4/26, 9 am-12 pm). This event is family-friendly, with gloves, grabbers, and trash bags provided. Details and a signup form below:
When: Saturday, April 11, from 9 am-12 pm (rain date Sunday, April 26, 9 am-12 pm).
Where: Newport Mill Playground, all ages; Rock View Elementary, all ages; and Highview Ave and Huggins Drive for teens and adults.
What to Bring? Water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. Trash bags, grabbers, gloves, and storm drain markers will be provided at two locations:
1) The picnic tables in front of the Newport Mill Park playground, and
2) The intersection of Huggins and Highview for creek clean-up. Please note: for adults cleaning up the creek, we recommend rain boots or gators, and long sleeves to protect from prickly vines and possibly poison ivy.
